About Community is Medicine

At Community is Medicine, our mission is to promote ideas, offer solutions, and engage in conversations that keep community at the centre of our services. We partner with other organizations and businesses to build healthier communities and improve mental health for young people in British Columbia.

We gratefully acknowledge that we are located on the traditional territory of the lək̓ʷəŋən People of the Songhees and Esquimalt First Nations. Indigenous Health Resources.

Our goals

  • Our mission is to improve access to support for young people facing challenges and isolation. We know that no single solution fits all, which is why we’re for the diversity of services and communities. Together, we can strengthen our efforts to create safe spaces where young people can learn, grow, and find support. We’re here to offer not just help, but a sense of community as they navigate through difficult times.

  • We don’t just train our volunteers, we also empower teams outside our organization to listen with empathy, respond thoughtfully, and create safe spaces for collaboration and support. Let’s continue building the skills that strengthen our communities. If you’re interested in joining our training, reach out to us today!

  • We collaborate with other professionals and organizations to create a stronger, healthier community. We believe in the power of connection, meaningful conversations, and shared learning. Come join us and be part of something bigger!
